Watercolour, Acrylic, and Pen & Ink

~ Fees for these portraits (up to 24” x 30”) are lower in cost than the fees for Oil paintings since oils take so much longer to do.

 It usually takes a month to do one face in oil, approx. 50 hours in watercolour or 16 hours for a small drawing.

Although the ideal portrait commission allows me to meet the subject and make notes, studies, and take photos, I am able to work strictly from photos if necessary. In these cases I will judge before starting the painting whether or not the photographs provide adequate information for a good portrait. The client and I will reach an agreement regarding all the needs, expectations and other details of the painting before work begins.
